Some dream of live within its mysteries,
Those inconsistencies can drown a man,
Forgo a life within the public eye,
Start spending all his time to understand
The who, the where, the what, the when
Just tell me once again,
Cuz I gotta know
I'd trade my wealth, my youth,
They're purposeless
Without the innocence I used to know
But it's not restored
when we want more
I've learned a man can lose his confidence,
All the while his confidence remains intact,
Holding his hopes in like a tether pole,
His thoughts turn cyclical around his mind,
Stuck on the couch there in that waiting room,
Suddenly all I knew was so untrue
We see a lot in life we just forget,
I'd say it's all the rest that tells us,
Who we are when we're not quite sure
what it's all for
Some live a life with all its purity,
And through adversity teach others faith,
Then one day the angel he comes beckoning,
"Child come on home again, it's getting late."
Taking her last breath in that hospital,
Her inexplicable truth was revealed -
It's not the wicked who must bare this pain
For it takes the martyr's grace to set us free
From the bonds we must endure,
From the bonds we must endure,
From the bonds we must escape
if we want more
We see a lot in life we just forget,
I'd say it's all the rest that tells us
who we are when we're not quite sure
If we want more.
